Art is not for a moment, but is something to enjoyed for a lifetime, and perhaps to be passed on to future generations.  If it's good, it catches your heart and mind.  What makes art "good?"
People often envision an artist wearing a smock, while with one grand flourish, he commits color and form to canvas.  That's not the way it's done!  Art involves certain principles which may be described so they are understandable to the uninitiated.  Of course, that first intuitve dream or vision must be put down in concrete form, on paper, canvas, paper, or?  With these understandings, the artist must use the best materials for his purpose.
That's what I'm doing with my art.  First comes the esoteric vision, then on to drawing paper, canvas, paints, etc.  When I finish a work of art, I have to be satisfied that it's good before I pass it on.
I've studied and been interested in art for many years.  I hope you'll find what I offer to be valuable to you.  George Markiewicz - Artist
